WASHINGTON, D.C. – USTelecom CEO Jonathan Spalter announced today that Galen Roehl has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Government Affairs.
“Congress has a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a lasting difference for all Americans when it comes to the nation’s broadband future. I am thrilled that Galen Roehl will help lead the charge on Capitol Hill and with the Administration on behalf of USTelecom’s members and their millions of customers to pursue our 'Broadband First' agenda,” Spalter said.
Prior to joining the association as a Vice President on the Government Affairs team in 2014, Roehl spent a decade on Capitol Hill handling telecommunications policy for Senators Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Pat Toomey (R-PA). Both of them served on the Senate Commerce Committee. He also worked as a telecommunications policy analyst in the leadership office of Republican Policy Committee Chairman John Barrasso (R-WY).
