Job Description
USTelecom is seeking to hire an intern to assist the Communications Department in a variety of activities that help the team reach key audiences and promote the value of broadband connectivity. The intern will work under the direction of the Department head for up to 30 hours per week. Days and hours are flexible based on the candidate’s schedule and the needs of the Department. This is a paid hybrid position.
Candidates must:
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Be willing to jump in and learn new tasks
- Demonstrate basic understanding of creative comms tools and platforms such as Canva, CapCut, Cision, Mailchimp and others
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; strong editing capabilities, and an ability to simplify complex messages
- Provide one writing sample on the topic of the power and importance of connectivity in your community – be creative!
