USTelecom – The Broadband Association President and CEO Jonathan Spalter issued the following statement after the Federal Communications Commission unanimously voted to move forward on a rulemaking to streamline broadband deployment permitting requirements:
“Today, America took a big new step toward more broadband permitting green lights and less red tape. This is smart, common-sense policymaking which recognizes that broadband permitting shouldn’t require more paperwork than a mortgage. Hat tip to Chairman Carr for working to connect more American communities at the speed of gigabits – not government forms.”
