Telecom and Capitol Hill veteran will lead federal broadband and technology team
WASHINGTON, DC—USTelecom—The Broadband Association today announced the appointment of Brandon Heiner as Senior Vice President, Government Affairs. Heiner joins the national broadband group after an eight-year run at CenturyLink (NYSE: CTL), where he advanced the global technology company’s advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.
Heiner will lead USTelecom’s federal legislative policy agenda and advocate member priorities before Congress to promote broadband connectivity and growth.

The appointment marks a return to USTelecom for Heiner who previously managed Senate advocacy and outreach for the association between 2005-2011. Earlier in his career, he served as legislative director for Rep. Butch Otter (R-ID), as a committee staffer on the Senate Special Committee on Aging, and as a legislative staffer for Senator Larry Craig (R-ID). Heiner is a graduate of Idaho State University and Brigham Young University – Idaho.
