The Communications Sector Coordinating Council (CSCC), led by USTelecom’s SVP of Cybersecurity and Innovation and CSCC Chair Robert May, released its 2026 Annual Report detailing its work to partner with other industry and government stakeholders to reduce risks and build resilience in cyberspace.
As outlined in the Administration’s recently released Cyber Strategy for America, much of the infrastructure deemed critical to U.S. national security is owned and operated by private companies – making fast and effective coordination between the public and private sectors essential to protecting Americans from harm. The CSCC’s report highlights the many lines of effort it supports to enable that coordination, including:
- Collaboration with government on AI security frameworks
- Cyber threat evaluation reports and enhanced intelligence sharing between industry and government
- Industry-led resilience testing
- Addressing foreign technology-linked risks and working with government to streamline procedures
- Building tailored guidance for and conducting outreach to small- and mid-sized businesses
