Today, NTIA released a waiver of the letter of credit requirement in the BEAD program.
The following statement can be attributed to Jonathan Spalter, president and CEO of USTelecom.
“NTIA’s important waiver on the Letter of Credit will help maximize dollars for deployment, encourage BEAD participation by experienced broadband providers of all sizes, and promote the success of the BEAD program. The pivotal partnership and collaboration between NTIA, broadband providers, and states to utilize BEAD funds to connect communities has never been more crucial, and we look forward to continued work with all stakeholders to reach our nation’s connectivity goals.”
