Today, Senators John Thune (R-SD), Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), and John Barrasso (R-WY) introduced the Accelerating Broadband Permits Act. The Act delivers on the recommendations made by the Government Accountability Office in an April 2024 report to improve communications and restore accountability at the Bureau of Land Management and the Forest Service.
