Background: The Federal Communications Commission today adopted rules on slamming and cramming at its open commission meeting on June 7, 2018. The order will protect consumers from unauthorized charges and other abuses.
The following statement can be attributed to Jonathan Spalter, President & CEO, USTelecom:
“The FCC’s slamming and cramming rules put bad actors in the penalty box for targeting often-vulnerable consumers. The Commission’s action is a breakaway move that will improve consumer experience and clarify provider obligations when changes to service are made.”
