Frontier’s Broadband for Good program is a commitment to advancing digital inclusion and strengthening the communities it serves. The program supports the company’s purpose of Building Gigabit America by using its fiber technology and resources to connect more people to the digital society.
The company recently donated high-speed fiber internet, new laptop computers, and digital mentoring to the mothers of a Connecticut women’s transitional housing program, Malta House.
“It is an honor to be chosen as a recipient of Frontier’s Broadband for Good program. Frontier is helping to offset operating costs by providing free internet connectivity to our agency and our moms, as well as helping provide the technology needed by our agency to help our moms access the technology and resources available to assist them in their journey towards self-sufficiency and independence.” – Lisa Koeppel, Executive Director of Malta House
The donation will help unhoused mothers find permanent housing, apply for jobs, attain an education, arrange medical care, and access government programs like ACP that provide people with affordable connectivity.
That’s not all; Frontier is also donating high-speed fiber internet, equipment, and training to Learning Alliance Corporation (LAC) in Tampa, Fla., to support its mission of providing U.S. veterans with the structured training and resources they need to start a career in telecommunications.
“We are proud to donate to LAC, a minority-owned organization that offers a diverse group of veterans exceptional training and critical resources to start a career in telecommunications, hopefully at Frontier.” – Alan Gardner, Frontier’s Chief People Officer
Frontier is committed to supporting veterans, who comprise more than 10% of its workforce. To recruit and hire even more veterans, the company is partnering with Learning Alliance Corporation, which provides structured training to help expand job opportunities in telecommunications to people of all backgrounds, including U.S. veterans.
