WASHINGTON – USTelecom – The Broadband Association today named Lorna Johnson the technology group’s new chief financial officer.
Johnson has nearly 20 years of experience at USTelecom, overseeing all aspects of the association’s financial planning, budgeting, accounting and administrative functions. She is being promoted from her current role as Vice President, Finance and Administration.
Jonathan Spalter, USTelecom’s president and CEO, said: “USTelecom has relied on Lorna’s judgement and disciplined financial expertise for almost two decades. She is a tremendous asset to USTelecom members and our advocacy and will play an increasingly central leadership role at the association as we continue to expand our reach, impact and scale.”
Johnson is a certified public accountant. Prior to joining USTelecom, Johnson served as deputy controller at the National Association of Attorneys General and as accounting manager at the Society of the Plastics Industry. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in financial management from the University of Maryland where she is also an adjunct professor of accounting.
