USTelecom signed on to a letter to House and Senate Agriculture committee members, expressing support for S.130, the Rural Internet Improvement Act of 2023. The legislation directs the Rural Utility Service to focus funding on unserved areas; protect against waste from inexperienced participants; reforms aimed at increasing provider participation; ensuring tech-neutrality; establishing administrative guidance; and improving interagency coordination.
