Washington, D.C. – USTelecom President and CEO Jonathan Spalter announced today that communications veteran Brian Weiss will be joining the association as Vice President of Media Affairs effective July 23.
Weiss joins USTelecom from the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business & Entrepreneurship, where he has led the strategic messaging and planning for the ranking member of the committee. Previously, Weiss was the Associate Administrator in the Office of Communications and Public Liaison at the U.S. Small Business Administration. A Hill veteran, Weiss has also served as Communications Director for Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Evan Bayh (D-IN). He has strong expertise in communications and technology policy, as well as in the private sector, having served in leading communications roles at TechNet and at Warner Music.
