Washington, DC (February 12, 2026) – Today, the Senate Commerce Committee passed the Modernization, Accountability, and Planning (MAP) for Broadband Funding Act. USTelecom applauds this effort to help ensure the FCC’s Broadband Funding Map is effective and transparent in supporting broadband buildouts across the country.
USTelecom’s VP of Government Affairs and Senior Counselor Paul Raak released the following statement:
“Better maps mean better broadband investments. We thank Senators Fischer and Cortez Masto for their leadership on the MAP Act. Improving the accuracy and transparency of the broadband map will help ensure federal funding is targeted to the communities that need it most, while strengthening coordination across federal broadband programs.”
